Best riverfront cabin near Stevens Pass and on the Skykomish river. Large covered porch with hot tub and dinning table. Enjoy all year long.
You are welcome to bring your pup a long for a fee of 50 per Pet child and up to 2 dogs. We ask you leash to prevent them going to neighboring properties. Please mention at time of booking. We will add fee before your stay as an extra service.
Maggies Cabin is a charming riverfront cabin built in 1936 by the WPA. The amenities are almost too numerous to list: Skykomish River (thrilling when it is high and serene when it is low). Mountain view (so close you could almost touch). Eagles (bring your camera). Fishing (bring your pole). 23 miles from Stevens Pass (bring your skis). Wildlife. Large covered deck with hot tub (swimsuit, optional). Patio furniture outside; leather couches inside. River rock fire place with glass door insert. Wool rugs; Full kitchen with coffee/ tea/ hot coco supplied. 2 bedrooms with lots of pillows and down comforters: Master bedroom has a queen and second bedroom has a full. Complimentary chamPayne. Luxurious bathrobes. Souvenir cabin cups (to remember your trip)!
We are 23 miles west of Stevens Pass.. I suggest you buy passes online for best price. My favorite thing about this property is the covered large porch! It could be snowing, raining or sunny and you can stay covered and enjoy the sound of the river rolling by. I have even spent the night outside on a blow up bed and enjoyed the river's sound as I slept. There are many close hikes all around...I always walk down to the single lane suspension bridge....very romantic place too. I had friends get engaged on it.
***Bedrooms do not have a heat source so leave doors open to heat. ****Please check weather reports before your stay. If having high winds in the area or heavy snow we can loose power. To be prepared I would suggest bringing dry firewood and fire starters to keep the cabin warm. We have a generator if needed. It does lights and TV and a few plugs. We do have gas BBQ for cooking outside. Time to make a getaway for the Mountains!
You are welcome to enjoy the yard. We have grass cut regularly and beds taken care of. We even have fresh chives and sage planted for your use. There is a trail to the river but proceed at your own risk. The river has washed out a few times and you need to be careful. State laws prevent us from making any changes. Plastic deck furniture easily can be moved out in yard. I usually do most communication with guests via email or text. I am not always around at the cabin but have management close by if needing anything. Please feel free to call or text Charlie (my local property manager) or I.
My husband and I were married here. We bought the cabin with the idea of easy skiing. We then quickly found out how hard it is to leave. We were surprised how much we love the cabin all year long. We are just over an hour from Seattle. Easy mountain getaway. There are no buses out this far. Buses go as far as Gold Bar. That is 13 miles from us.
***We are in the mountains with no garbage service up here. We ask you keep all garbage inside to prevent incounters with wildlife. Please take with you on departure. ***Disposal site in Skykomish and in Sultan just off hwy 2.
